American Pie, all done!

Well, it's finished! Another quilt oh yeah! I am happy about it. I managed to get the binding done this weekend. So it is now in the washing machine so we can use it :)
Here are my photo helpers helping mom out!
The pattern is American Pie by Miss Rosie's Quilt Company. I've used several of her patterns now, and I have loved all of them. I highly recommend her :)
Here's a closeup..
And the backing and binding.
Last Monday we went to Indian Beach to play in the surf. It was a beautiful day. Here are some pictures of it.

And Mark caught a beetle bug, painted it and took these photos, I love them!! The "Warrior Bug" is now out protecting my garden.

Stunning!!! Ummm, you know, this would look really fabulous on my bed (wink, wink, grin, grin!)

Your title has me humming "drove my chevy to the levy but the levy was dry..."

Beautiful quilt!! Do you machine or hand quilt? I am just beginning the plunge into quilting and I know one lady who pays the local shop owner to quilt hers with a long arm. I'm ok with the piecing, it's the final quilting that scares me! :)

Wow that quilt is awesome! I love the colors.
I'm totally excited that schools out, so I can do some piecing.
Love the pictures of the beach! That is one brave boy! What a cool bug and starfish. I'm so impressed with Mark's painting abilities!

Your quilt is gorgeous! I love those reds. Hmmm...how do you get a beetle to hold still while you paint it????

Oh my gosh, your quilt is so pretty! I made the same pattern in lavender 30's fabrics. Don't you just love Miss Rosie patterns?
Goodness, that is some bug.

Your quilt helpers are really cute and the quilt looks just great! I have never heard of painting beetles but I think it looks much better that way. Thanks for adding your link to the online quilt exhibit.
