Saturday's are so nice

I love a Saturday where you make no plans at all whatsoever. After the whirlwind trip to California last week, it was very nice to just put my feet up and chill out. I finally got the notion to get to the stores and restock my pantry, we've been eating out too much last week, I was too tired to think about making food. While I was buying toilet paper at Target, I happened to wander through their bedding aisles. I've been eyeballing a pretty bedding set on Pottery Barn, an all white quilted coverlet. I just couldn't buy it though, it was over $230.00 and so I was pretty excited when I found this coverlet at Target for less than half the price of the Pottery Barn one. I brought it home and tried it on, and I think I'm in love :) I have been wanting a white coverlet so I can fold any of my quilts on the bottom of it... so yay!
I've been working slowly on Shores of Hawk Run, this block is close to being done! I can finish it by the end of the month, I know it :)
Also, I started a new mini-quilt. It's another Schnibbles pattern I've had kitted up for awhile.
Jessie was working on her coloring project along with me. I love that she can just hang out with me at the table, we talk and carry on, it's so fun!
I wanted to plant my garden, I've been waiting and waiting for it to get warm enough here to do it. I started seeds in the little pods about 3 weeks ago, and now they are overgrowing the pods! I think I'll plant them today after church.
What are you going to do on this lovely Sunday?? I hope you enjoy it!

Shores is looking great and the new quilt pattern is beautiful! The coverlet is pretty and your quilts will really stand out on it! It sounds like you had a great trip to Disney! Your daughter and son are cuties and it's so neat that you can spend time with your little girl while crafting! My daughter is getting to that age too and I've actually started my son and daughter (both 6) on little cross stitch kits but I can's stitch while their stitching yet as they still need quite a bit of help with it. Soon... Hope you got to plant your plants and had a great rest of the day! Mere

I love the white coverlet, so fresh, modern and practical! I know what you mean having Jessie by your side working, too - it is lovely to have company! I don't know about Shores?, but it looks wonderful!

Hi there! Love your progress on Shores. I should be working on that today, but alas, I'm doing Alma Allen's French sampler that she posted on her blog. I have a headache from allergies, and I can't work on anything that needs too much thought!

Love your coverlet. It will perfect for your quilts. I also love your new quilt. Looks so fun!

Woo! Your Shores is coming along great. I love that coverlet! It is so pretty. I hear you on PB--I love to look at their stuff and then try to find something similar elsewhere that won't require a second mortgage! I looooove Target--can't wait to go this summer! Your quilt start is great, too--love the fabrics! That's so cute that your daughter sits with you as you quilt. My kids are older but still love to come in & sit down and read or talk while I stitch. Have a great week!

Whoa! Look how big those seedlings are!! It's going to get real warm today and tomorrow and should help get the ground warm. Not good enough for planting tomatoes yet, but other vegies are fine. My dd planted up some cool weather vegies a couple of weeks ago and they're doing great. Hope you have a very successful garden this year!
