Making new stockings!

My family has Christmas stockings that are all mis-matched.  Mine was made by my Grandma when I was born, and is starting to wear out, and I don't want it completely thrashed.... Curren and Jessie's are from Target a million years ago and BORING, and Mark's is from who know's where?  It is high time I replace them.

I have been eyeballing Camille's adorable stockings {Merry Pattern} since she wrote the pattern for them, and I decided to just go for it!  By the way, you can instantly download this, which helped enable me even further.

I am doing stockings using aquas, reds, greens, greys and white.  They are bright and cheery, and so far, I am in love!  I started with the main print you see below, it is a Kate Spain by Moda design, though I am not sure from what line!
I have the main stocking bodies done, I am embroidering our names on the cuffs now and will assemble them soon.
This will be mine, and this is also my first attempt at hexagons eeeep!
This will be Jessie's
This will be Curren's
And my hubby's.
My sister has asked if I can make her family stockings too, and I figured I'd better make my family some first to you know.... test drive the pattern before I make hers LOL!

Super cute Heather! I can't wait to see the finished stockings. I love Camille's things, don't you?
Have a great conference weekend. Yah! I'm so excited about watching a stitching. :)

Fantastic! The stockings are going to be gorgeous!! Kudos on the hexagons -- those are tough to do (IMHO). I tried once with cardboard as templates and made a mess. LOL! Can't wait to see them finished!
