The other good news is that I finished my On A Whim quilt last week. Yay!! The sun came out today, so I took it out for a photo shoot. I can't say enough good things about the fabric I used for this quilt. Most of it was designed by Pam Kitty Morning for Lakehouse Dry Goods. It's vintage inspired, really bright, and cheerful. It was fun to sew with for sure!
Camille Roskelley designed the pattern called On A Whim, it's a fat quarter friendly pattern, and went together easily. I'm on Instagram a lot (more than I'd like to admit haha!) and she did a quilt along with her pattern, so I joined in, it was fun seeing everybody's progress.
I got creative with the back of the quilt. I larger pieces of fabric from my stash that matched. I was trying to go for a "use what you have" look, it's fun I think!
The binding is a red and white candycane stripe. It finishes it off perfectly!
This quilt is for sale in my Etsy Shop: Aqua Reef Studios.
Enjoy your weekend!

This quilt is a beauty! I love the subtlety of the 2 fabrics used in the alternate blocks! Nice work, Heather! (and for sure, enjoy the sunshine while we have it!)
Lovely quilt, Heather, and I love what you did on the back!
Hey Heather...WOW, I seriously love this quilt! You did a great job.
We have had some gorgeous fall weather here in Vermont until this past weekend when the rain started...ick! Sorry your visit with your sister was a wash out ~ No hiking, that left so much indoor time for stitching!
Gorgeous!!! I love On a Whim quilts and I adore the fabrics you chose for this. (And happy the sun shone on us during our tour through your beautiful state!)
You sure are able to quilt! I admire your ability to make the most beautiful quilts in no time.
