After making a sewing machine cover for my fellow quilt guild member, I decided I needed one as well. My friend,
Mo Bedell, designs some amazing fabric for Andover, and she kindly gave me some of her scraps, so I used them to make a machine cover this past week. Her fabric is so bright and happy, I loved working with it!
I used the pattern from
Lori Holt's book,
Quilty Fun.
I used a dark grey Kaffe Fasset shot cotton for the binding and little spools on the front pockets. It framed all of that bright color in nicely. If you don't need a cover, you can use it as a mat for the machine, and the pockets hang down to hold your tools. I like it this way too! I sew on a large plastic table, and my machine vibrates a bit, so maybe this will help??
Do you have all of your Christmas sewing projects completed yet? I'm happy to say that I finally do, and I'm so glad! Enjoy your weekend everyone!
