It has begun!

I got brave, pulled out the threads I'd need and started Shores of Hawk Run Hollow. It seems so daunting to start another huge project again... after taking 7 years to complete the Four Seasons, I don't want to work on it for 7 years! I hope I am dedicated enough to keep on going. Gee, it sounds like I have a positive attitude coming into it! LOL! I am excited though, and I like it so far. I started it last night while watching the New Years Eve celebration on TV. Here is where I am so far.
And here is the ornament I made for Courtney, it is a freebie design from Barbara Ana. I just searched for it and I don't see it on cyberstitchers any longer? I really like that little red bird, it's so cute!
We went roller skating the other night, and Mark had taken some pictures of Curren, and then combined them into this, it makes us laugh so hard, hope it makes you laugh too!

The start you made on Shores of Hawk Run Hollow is looking good. You can do it Heather. I'm looking forward to see your progress and I'll try to cheer you on. Love the Barbara Ana ornament, it is lovely. And what a great photo of Curren, it made me smile. Happy New Year to you and your family and I hope the new year will bring you all you wish for and more.

Happy New Year! You have started in style: with a new project. Love the 4 seasons of Marjolein Bastin. I only stitched an autumn design from her once.

Good luck on this big project. I love the design!

This is definitely a great start, Heather. I have Shores too but have only started Houses and am not very far with it. I know what you mean when talking of seven years, lol. But HoHRH will be my focus piece this year. Looking forward to your progress pictures.

The ornie with the little birdie is so cute. I love nearly everything with a bird on it.

And yes, Curren's picture made me laugh, lol.

That's so funny!!

Maybe I should gather my courage to ask you if you'd like to SAL on SOHRH? I don't know if I dare, though, as I am a notoriously bad SAL partner. I do have it all kitted up, though....

Oh how funny skating photos, what a great idea to combine them like that :) I also like the photo of Jessie with Bullet, my daughter would love a pet like that too and she said it's soooo cute :)

Your stitching photos are beautiful too, the ornament for Courtney is lovely with the red bird!

Good luck on your new big start. I have been wanting to start Four Seasons and wouldn't be surprised it it took me 7 years too. It is such a lovely piece though. That is a darling ornament you received from your friend. Happy 2009!
