Progress, always have to make progress.

So much going on. You know, Mark has been out of town on business for almost 3 weeks, he just got home today. So much has happened this past week and I am quite frankly... glad it is over. I got in a car accident on Friday night, a lady pulled right out in front of me, I had no time to stop and slammed right into her, I am okay, and my friend who was in the car with me is okay too. It just really scared me... and it was hard because Mark wasn't home. Among other things, it was a hard week for me. It seems to be Murphys Law when Mark leaves, that is when everything happens. Well, now that it off of my chest, I have some things to share!

I was asked if I've been stitching, well of course I have! Just on Shores of Hawk Run Hollow though, and this block is big and all stitched in, so progress is pretty boring and slow, but here's proof I've been stitching :)
The next Schnibbles quilt for October is Cindy Lou Who. Isn't it cute? I ordered the pattern, and will figure out what I'll use from my stash to make this. I have lots and lots of those wonderful charm packs...
And I've pulled out an old WIP quilt, I started this well over a year ago. I pulled it out again, and remembered why I put it away in the first place. This block is difficult, and the pattern directions are not good, they don't explain how you put these confounded triangles together to get the right look. Well, after playing with it for about an hour, I think I've got it. Sheesh.
I hope you all have a good week! I know I will, Mark is back home safe and sound from South America, and that couldn't make me happier!

I'm so pleased no one was injured in the accident - nasty shock, though! Lots of nice stitching and good times to look forward to!

I'm glad you weren't hurt in the accident. What a scary thing to go through. I'm home alone several days a week. I know what you mean about everything going wrong. It seems I have a "honey do" fix it project every time he comes home lately.
The quilt is really gorgeous. I love the colors. It looks like a tricky block, but the results are stunning.
Love the snibbles pattern too.
Take Care!

Car accidents are SO SCARY, aren't they? Even if no one's hurt. And being without your DH makes it extra stressful. I hope you have some quiet, peaceful, enjoyable weeks ahead of you!

Am so glad to hear that no one was hurt in the accident! Hope that your car was still driveable! Sometimes people just don't watch out for the people who are around them.

Great progress on Shores and I love the colors of your quilt.

So glad you are okay. Even little fender-benders are traumatic. Glad your husband is home safe too. LOVE your quilt WIP. It will be worth the trouble when you get it done!

So sorry about the car accident, but glad that you are all ok. And 3 weeks is a long time for your hubby to be gone! I'm sure you're thrilled that he's home :)

So sorry about the accident but very grateful you were not hurt.
Lovely progress on Shores. It is a biggie!
Glad DH is home safe and sound. Leo was away a great deal while serving in the military and I remember how lonesome it was. I could tell you lots of stories of things that went wrong while he was gone.

I am SO glad that nobody was hurt in the accident! Big big hugs. My DH is OOT and while it's nice to not have to worry about fussy dinners, I really do feel more vulnerable w/o him here. Fabulous progress on Shores, and love the quilt WIPs!

Oh my gosh, so good to know thatnoone was hurt in the car accident. Thinking of these things just gives me the creeps.
The WIP quilt is really worth being worked on again. The block looks so great with the colours and fabrics you use.

Oh, Heather, I'm so thankful neither you nor your friend were hurt in the accident and that Mark is safely home from his business trip.

I remember a time when I had just two very little children and DH had to be away for weeks at a time for business - of course, the kids got ear infections and pneumonia and I about went crazy going to the doctor and caring for them on my own. It's never easy when Dad's away! You need to leave on your own little "business" trip one of these days, lol!

I lost some of my blogs when I changed my template and computer ages ago, and just found this again. So sorry to hear about your accident. Glad you are ok.

Love your blog - wish you'd commentede on mine sooner so I could have found you already. You have me inspired to do some more quilts - I have hardly done any this year but keep buying fabric with quilty intentions. Love all your schnibbles - they are great quilts to get the motivation going again.
