Finished: Schnibbles Plan C

So, this oldie but goodie was sitting in my "UFO" bin for two years, I finally unsurfaced it to get it quilted and finished last week.  I found the post where I finished the top back in 2010.  I love this fabric, it is called Eva by Basic Grey.  I am not much of a purple person, but these are some gorgeous purples!
I bought a book called Free Motion Quilting written by Angela Walters.  I had a lot of fun quilting this as you can see.  I may have gone a little overboard, but I was having way too much fun!  I quilted flowers, loopy loops, and wavy lines on the border.
We had a really nice weekend.  My husband and I celebrated our 13th Wedding Anniversary!  We have been so blessed, and it was really nice to get away for two nights in Cannon Beach (kid free).  The hotel we stayed at overlooked the ocean and Haystack Rock, it was great.
The kids started school last week, there were soccer games, taekwondo demonstrations, and a myriad of other things to keep us busy.  Here is to a fun fall season!!

Great job on your quilting! You are amazing to me. I have a stack of quilts waiting for the quilter, and I keep thinking I should tackle a few, but I'm afraid I'll mess them up. It's not easy to quilt on your machine. You make it look easy! Angela Waters is an amazing quilter. I met her at quilt market a few years ago. We were stuck in the same 2 hour line waiting for sampler spree to open. How is her new book?
Happy Anniversary! Beautiful view of the ocean.
Oh, I thought of you last week when we were in Portland. We flew there, and drove to the Redwoods. On the way down I took a beeline to the Holly hill Quilt store for a peak, and it was closed! I couldn't believe my poor luck. I guess I'm suppose to stay focused on my current projects. LOL
You are lucky to have such a fabulous store to visit. It looked darling from the outside.
Have a great week.
