Spring Stars Quilt Top

After writing my post on Tuesday with the list of things to look forward to, I felt better. I also went and took some sunshine pills, AKA Vitamin D. You know what? I felt so much better after that. So, I am in a different frame of mind now, and I am glad. I just can’t stand it when I feel down.

Yesterday after work, I sat down and started working on my spring star quilt. I needed to get the top done so I could put it out at church on Sunday and people could sign up to make it. I finished the top! It took about 3 hours to sew it all together, all of the blocks were already done. It felt good :)
Most of the fabrics I used are from the Heather Bailey line called Freshcut. I’ve had them for a few years, and finally got them out. Heather has another new line out called Nicey Jane that is gorgeous. I haven’t bought any yet, but I plan on it! It’s so pretty. The February Schnibbles is Sunday best. I have an idea for the fabrics I will use, but can’t make a decision. Still mulling it over. And, last night I stitched 5 more fish on Shores, only two left now.

I’m going to go take some more Vitamin D now. :D

That quilt top is gorgeous! I'm glad you're feeling better - winter can really drag you down sometimes, can't it?

Your star quilt is beautiful. Very inspiring.
I think this time of year up north gets everybody down. I was feeling it myself recently, I find some quilty goodness helps.

I love that quilt top. Very cheery!! I may have to take your recommendation about the Vitamin D pills - this time of year always brings me down. Not enough sun I think!

So good to know that you already feel better. I also long for colours and haven't seen any outside for so many weeks. Only snow, only white. Your Spring Stars quilt top is perfect to feel a bit spring-y. I'm looking through my stitchy spring patterns and will soon start to stitch a bunny or flowers.

I pretty much live on Vit D. I can't do dull gray days, and that's all we've had lately! That's why we take lots of vacations in the winter! I hope your grey blues get over soon!
Love your spring quilt. It turned out beautiful! I know you will get a lot of people wanting to make it.(Do you have quilters in your ward.) I tried to get a friend to make a quilt, and when she saw how much the kit was, she realized that quilting was too expensive for her blood. I told her it's cheaper than therapy, and all of these projects are my therapy!
Cute schnibbles pattern!
Take Care
